Over the July Fourth weekend, I worked on the Liberty Stars counted canvas project by Nancy’s Needle.
Instead of stitching the small stars one at a time as I did with the inner stars, I got smart and stitched all four of the outer stars in tandem. Because I already had my needle threaded with the appropriate thread, it made sense to go around the square and stitch all four stars together. As a result, the stitching went much faster and I completed all of the little stars in the pattern.
Here is the updated photo:
Now all I have left to do is the border bands between and around the outer stars. There are five border bands and they are all done in the same slanted gobelin stitch. We’ll see how much I get done in the next week.
Absolutely Brilliant Alice. Beautiful stitching
Thanks so much. :)
