I can hardly believe what Liberty Stars looked like just one week ago. This counted canvaswork project went much faster than I thought possible. But, I finished Liberty Stars by From Nancy’s Needle yesterday night.
Here it is, not yet taken off the stretcher bars:
I’m very happy with how it turned out. It’s a lovely design, and it stitched up very fast.
The finished stitched piece will be put aside for a bit now. I’m not going to run to the framers with it right away.
Other Project Updates
I just bought a frame so I can finish my Alice in Wonderland “I’m Late” piece. The stitched piece has been washed and ironed, so my next priority is finishing it so I can photograph the finished item and prepare to publish the pattern.
Then I will be hard at work on my next design, plus I can start stitching the Belle & Boo pattern I kitted up weeks ago.
So, I hope to have some exciting new things to show next week.
Someday which may be forever and forever I am going to try counted canvas work. I have watched you work on this project and also watched another blogger work on several over the years. Such lovely work you do and I particularly like this one!
Thank you! Counted canvaswork really is fun and it’s a nice way to break up cross-stitch projects. I really like that From Nancy’s Needle sells full kits, so you get everything you need along with the pattern itself.
This looks like it was a fun project!
It was! :)
Wow! That is amazing! Looks so silky, shimmery and perfect! Great job!
Thanks so much! :)
