Every month I share what books I finished last month and what I’m reading now. I also love to hear what others are reading. Share your own book recommendations in the comments or friend me on Goodreads!
Once again, I only finished one book this past month. But, I have a feeling September will be a big month for reading.
Finished in August
- The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson. Fun, silly novel about one man’s romp through the twentieth century.
Still Reading Now
- Growing Gills: How to Find Creative Focus When You’re Drowning in Your Daily Life by Jessica Abel. Slowly working my way through this one because I am taking the time to do the exercises and things she suggests. Really a great book. Highly recommended.
- The Artist’s Rule: Nurturing Your Creative Soul with Monastic Wisdom by Christine Valters Paintner. I’ve sort of put this one aside in favor of Growing Gills, but I am still working on it.
- Just Call Me Superhero by Alina Bronsky. I just started this one. We’ll see if I stick with it or give up.
Here’s what I read in September 2016.
What are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments!
Finish Ben Hur this week! I’ve never seen the movie, so this was my first exposure.
Wow! I’ve never seen the film either…Been on my to-watch list for a long time….
Right now I’m reading Peak Season for Murder. nominated you for the Sunshine Blogger Award
Had to look up the book title — and OMG, the mystery takes place in Door County, WI. I love Door County! I may have to pick up this series!
There’s more than 1 book for this? I’ll soon be doing a book review on this book. I’m almost done reading this book. I’ve read this book before and liked it so I read it again. Enjoy reading.
